Vocal Eaze is a throat spray based on proteolytic enzymes such as bromelain and papain. Bromelain is extracted from the stems and sap of the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus). Papain is extracted from papaya. It is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes—enzymes that digest protein.

Papain is a protein-dissolving enzyme which, like Bromelain, dissolves the mucus in the pharynx.
